Farm Life

Right after the kids were born we started making decisions that would guide us into opportunities where we could start raising ourImage children and working farm scenarios. By the time John hit 30 he put together 33K so they could buy their first piece of land. On it he designed and built a mountain style house and had an Amish crew come in and put up a Four stall horse barn. It was on a 4 acre piece of land and within seven years they were able to sell that to buy a 64 acre farm that was right on a trout stream in Upper Bucks County Pennsylvania.

So right from the start their three children learned the responsibility of having horses and taking care of them along with sheep and chickens. Within a few years after moving to the bigger farm they had 20 head of cattle, five horses, sheep, pigs, chickens and their household pets. For a couple years there John even raised pheasants. Linda worked hard to get the farm to be certified organic, at that time it was on a cutting edge.

We will be adding to this blog and through our web podcast more details stores about farm life.
